In
the 80's my love for taking photos as a hobby evolved into a small
business before even knowing what was taking place.
My main focus (pardon the pun) at that time was taking photos of my
young son. However, I kept getting asked to take wedding photos, first
for friends and family and then before I knew it I had quite an agenda of
weddings on my calendar. Of course at that time we were already well
into our dog grooming business so it only made sense that pets would make a
great subject for my lens. It didn't take long to find out that I had some
kind of connection with the canines and was able to capture the portrait
that their loving owners seemed to appreciate.
Though I still do a wedding on occasion, I do love to photograph
people, promotional shots of musicians and bands particularly, (there is a
certain challenge to that personality), pet photos have become pretty much
my main subject. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you caught
that true personality in those big dark eyes!
